So it looks like greasemonkey 0.2.6, which fixes the major flaw in 0.2.5 that stopped some people's chrome (including forward/back buttons, tabs, and url bars) from working, is propagated across all the servers.
Sorry for all the trouble people had with the previous release. Please comment here if you continue to have problems.

Greasemonkey 0.2.6: Now with less fatal chrome bugs!

Uh, is it just me, or is this link broken? Looks like the file's been renamed to just greasemonkey.xpi
Hell I'm having worse problems. I install 0.2.6 and going to install or manage scripts brings up nothing. When I go to options from the extensions it brings up a dialog window but everything is grayed out except for cancel.

The link to http://downloads.mozdev.org/greasemonkey/greasemonkey_0.2.6.xpi is correct, but not all mirrors have picked it up yet.
Trying the same link repeatedly seems to work.

I cried myself to sleep last night, since I broke my Greasemonkey when I installed version 0.2.5, and since I found no way to go back to an older version. (I'm fine now.) It would be nice to have links somewhere to recent versions of Greasemonkey, just in case... (Maybe there are such links, and I just couldn't find them.)

I thought that was a good idea as well, which is why I changed the xpi naming convention to greasemonkey_version.xpi and added the list of old versions on the right side of the greasemonkey homepage.
Unfortunately, I don't physically have any old copies of the XPI (actually, I do, in email, now that I think about it -- I could put those up as well if people want them).
But I'll do it like this from now on so that people can roll back.
toby: Hard to believe but these mirrors still aren't updated. I think I might have to start hosting greasemonkey XPIs off of youngpup.net. Will look into that tonight. Not sure how much traffic I can handle.
anonymous: If you could please clear out your errors from jsconsole, then restart your browser and copy any new errors into a new comment, it would help me debug your problem. Also, if you could leave the OS and firefox version you use, as well as other extensions you have installed.

I've the same problems like anonymous. It's not possible to import scripts. I tried it with different ones from "dunck.us/collab/GreaseMonkeyUserScripts". It does nothing. No Errors in JSConsole. (Sorry for my bad english)

OK, this is a conflict with Menu Editor.
The quick fix is to disable menu editor.
If you're not happy with that, you can revert to a patched version of GM 0.2.4.
Read all about the problem.
It's really a problem with Menu Editor, but we can work around it in GM. I'll write the Menu Editor list today, and try to get a workaround patch in the meantime.

I should point out that I was wrong to say it's a problem with Menu Editor.
It's an interop problem caused by a Moz bug that may not be fixed.
In any case, we'll work around it, because we can, and because we'll continue getting this report until we do. :)

i noticed 0.2.6 does not work with the 20050402 nightly build. the extension installs ok and the scripts are enabled, but they don't seem to have any effect. any ideas?
I have FF 1.0.2, the only extension is sessionsaver and today have installed 0.2.6 the first time: everything is grayed out in "manage scripts". It is like the same problem as anonymous have, but I still don't understand what is the solution?

Greasemonkey does not appear to be applying the scripts to the web page.
CompactMenu is causing the dialog problem for me...remove the compact icon from the toolbar (i.e., now you'll be using the full menu display) and restart Firefox...sucks but it's happened before with that extension and a theme.

Trunck builds: this is a known bug for greasemonkey. It will be fixed in the next patch.
Default scripts: these were removed from the install on account of them messing up too many web pages. Plus there's no need for demo scripts anymore. I think that people understand what GM can do now :) If you want these scripts back, just install them again, either from the phantom copies in your script directory, or from the wiki.
I am the OG anonymous and the compact menu would appear to be my issue as well. And it looks like a workaround is going to be attempted and I'm going to have wait until that's done. I'm not willing to give up my menu space! (;

I had GM installed at some point (recently, not sure which version), but uninstalled it pretty soon, as it completely refused to work for me. Just installed 0.2.6, same problem. I can install and manage userscripts just fine, nothing breaks, but they don't do anything. The 'enabled' box is ticked for all.
